Friday, September 11, 2015 at Asti returns the Douja d'Or that come to 45° edition celebrates milestone with a full programme of tastings.
The manifestation of Asti that always plays a key role in the Italian wine scene back from the 11th to the 20th of September 2015 with so many must-see tastings. 549 winning wines include the Douja d'Or and they are all great tasting tour that opens to the public on a daily basis. To enrich the event there are important dishes and desserts that you can taste in accompanying the large award-winning wines. A further plus is the gourmet village in square Campo del Palio which includes several Italian pro-loco that in real small houses cook for the tourists the great dishes of the local tradition.
At the conclusion of the event will be held on Sunday September 20. Twenty-one horses, twenty-one villages, districts and municipalities that will compete for the drape. A centuries-old tradition that returns every year in Asti. Engine city, waiting for the event, offers the best of itself: Palio flag wavers, little market del Palio, propitiatory dinners, outdoor trials on track, children's parade, accompany tourists per day, which preceded by a medieval costume parade is the highlight of the day.
